Diablo 3 Challenge Rift 8 Tutorial | Unhallowed Essence Demon Hunter

This week we have the Demon Hunter, Decked out with the Full
Six Piece Set bonus for:

Unhallowed Essence.
This build focuses on maintaining the Vengeance Buff while
spamming Multishot and using Vault to travel quickly through each Dungeon.

Unhallowed Essence Set Bonuses:
The four-piece set bonus for Unhallowed Essence includes a
defensive and offensive boost of 60 percent whenever there are no enemies
within 10 yards of the Demon Hunter.
The six-piece set bonus for Unhallowed Essence grants us 40
percent extra damage for every point of discipline we have. This Build has our
Demon Hunter with 95 Discipline – which equates to 3800% extra damage-
specifically for Multishot and Vengeance.

Relevant Gear:
Multishot is our primary damage dealing ability, even though
it is a resource spender, not a generator. The mainhand and offhand Legendaries
in this build buff Multishot, granting +50% attack speed and +82% damage.
Additionally, we have the Stone of Jordan, our ring, which
grants us 26% additional damage against elites. All other items either have no
powers, or do not apply to this build.
The bracers here grant a damage buff for stunned enemies,
but no abilities in this Build cause any sort of crowd control effect, making
this Power useless.

Powers:
For our Kanai Cube powers, we have Dawn in the weapon slot,
granting us an incredible 65% cooldown reduction for our Vengeance Buff. This,
along with other cooldown reductions means that our Vengeance is available immediately
after it wears off.
Cindercoat is in the armor slot, granting us 30 percent resource
reduction for fire abilities – our main attack is Multishot, which is Fire.
This makes Multishot very Spammable.
Finally, we have the Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac in the Jewelry
slot. This grants us cooldown reduction when casting a Resource Spending
ability – in this case, Multishot.

Legendary Gems:
For our Legendary Gems, we have a low-level Bane of the
Stricken, at level 7 – granting us .87% damage against the same target if
attacked continuously.
Bane of the Trapped is also low, but irrelevant for this
build as we have no crowd-controlling abilities to activate the damage buff.
And, we have a Rank 38 Bane of the Powerful, granting a
Defensive and Offensive Buff against Elites for 15%, along with a persistent Buff
of 20 percent for 68 seconds after killing an elite.

Passives:
For the passives, we have Archery, granting us 8 percent extra
damage for equipping a bow;
Tactical Advantage, granting us 60 percent movement speed
for 2 seconds after using Vault;
Ballistics, buffing rocket damage, while granting extra
rockets while attacking. Our Multishot is using the Arsenal rune, which also Shoots
rockets while attacking.
And, Ambush, which deals 40 percent extra damage to enemies
above 75 percent health.

Skill Rotation/ Combat pattern:
The combat pattern is as follows – you must stay buffed at
all times with Vengeance.
This will be obvious as the Demon Hunter will be glowing Red
as the physical embodiment of Vengeance-
With cooldown reduction, Vengeance will be ready to re-cast
once it wears off.  Vengeance grants a
40% damage buff, while casting free Piercing Shots and Rockets, dealing 60 and
80 percent weapon damage respectively.
In between combat, we are tumbling as much as possible –
being mindful to not drain the Discipline pool too much.
If Discipline is low, cast Preparation for a quick 30
discipline.
Combat consists of just casting Multishot. If everything
works out, you should never have to cast Evasive Fire.
Multishot is Spammable due to the Resource Cost Reduction of
the Cindercoat Power.
Multishot deals 360 percent weapon damage in a cone in front
of the Demon Hunter, while casting 3 rockets dealing 300 percent weapon damage.
For Elites, we re-cast our Companion Wolf, this initiates a Wolf
Howl, granting us a 15 percent damage buff for 10 seconds.

One very important thing to note here – this build is very squishy,
so play smart – using Vault to move away from danger.
Bees, arrows, fireballs, explosions, charging bulls, all of
these things one-shot our Demon Hunter, so – keep moving.
The dungeon should be over halfway through floor 3.
