Lasertag à la Roomscale, The Gooboberti Way | Rec Room

In Rec Room (a free cross-platform VR social game), when I play most game modes, I give it my all - devoting loads of energy into the process, attempting to maximize fluid movement within the teleportation cycle. In paintball, questing, and lasertag, movement is key to survival. Constant flanking, never in one spot too long, maintaining situational awareness of the enemies on the field as much as possible - but always moving, both digitally (with constant teleporation) and analog (with your body).
In lasertag, this comes in extra handy. The goal is to clear out bots as fast as possible, flanking in on the enemy player, while constantly moving your body.
I don't spam the teleportation button, but incorporate it into a fluid dodging weaving motion. I maintain a constant rocking motion, sometimes forward and back, sometimes left and right - with my arm extending as far as possible in the direction of travel to time the teleportation cycle.
Playing in this manner is a sheer thrill - it feels like you are an agent of the matrix, weaving your way through combat - relying on physical agility in "meat space" to fully succeed in a video game.
